Bruce Springsteen News

Am 24. Oktober 2011 wird eine aus 3 DVDs und einer Doppel CD bestehende Sammlung von diversen „Bridge School“ Benefizauftritten erscheinen.
Auf den Datenträgern findet man Livemitschnitte zum Beispiel von REM, Patti Smith, Pearl Jam, Emmylou Harris, Metallica, Elton John, Billy Idol, Neil Young und natürlich auch Bruce Springsteen.

Das erste „Bridge School“ Benefizkonzert fand am 13. Oktober 1986 in Mountain View, CA statt. Seitdem treffen sich Jahr für Jahr angesagte Musiker, um Spendengelder für hilfsbedürftige Kinder einzusammen.

Bruce Springsteen war bisher zweimal zu Gast.
Am 13. Oktober 1986 spielte er gemeinsam mit Neil Young, Nils Lofgren und Danny Federici folgende Songs: Helpless, You Can Look …, Born in the USA, Seeds, Darlington County, Mansion on the Hill, Fire, Dancing in the Dark, Glory Days, Follow that Dream, Hungry Heart und Teach Your Children.
Im Oktober 1995 beteiligte er sich erneut am „Bridge School Festival IX“ und performte Seeds, Adam Raised a Cain, Sinaloa Cowboys, Point Blank, This Hard Land, The Ghost of Tom Joad, Down by the River und Rockin‘ in the Free World.
