An energized Bruce Springsteen held the stage for more than ninety minutes at the Light of Day benefit at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park last night. Am 15. Januar 2011 findet im „Paramount Theatre“ Asbury Park, NJ das grosse „Light of Day 2011“ Abschlusskonzert statt.
Unter anderem geben sich bekannte Künstler wie Alejandro Escovedo, Garland Jeffreys, Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers, Willie Nile und Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan ein Stell-Dich-Ein. Eventuell wird auch Bruce Springsteen – wie schon im Jahre 2010 (wir berichteten) – als Gaststar auftreten.

Light of Day Foundation, Inc.’s mission is to fund research into possible cures, improved treatments and support for patients who suffer with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and related illnesses, their families and their caregivers to help improve their quality of life.

Austin-based singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo will headline the Paramount Theatre show on Jan. 15, 2011, that serves as the centerpiece for the 11th annual Light of Day concert series, now expanded to a full weekend of activities in Asbury Park, N.J.

The Light of Day series of concerts, which also includes performances in Canada and 11 countries in Europe, raises money for the ongoing fight against Parkinson’s disease by supporting research into more effective treatments and a cure as well as assisting people who suffer from this and other degenerative neuromuscular disorders.

Auch in diesem Jahr findet das „Light of Day“ Festival in Asbury Park, NJ statt. Vom 14. bis zum 16. Januar 2011 werden bekannte Musikgrössen im „Stone Pony Club“, im „Paramout Theatre“ und im „McLoone’s Super Club“ auftreten, um Spenden für die gemeinnützige „Light of Day Foundation“ zu sammeln. Die Organisation setzt sich für die Bekämpfung der Parkinson Krankheit ein.
Ferner sind auch Konzerte in Kanada, Schweden, Dänemark, Belgien, Italien, England und Deutschland geplant.

Wie schon angekündigt, war Bruce Springsteen gestern der Stargast auf dem „Light of Day“ Konzertspektakel in Asbury Park, NJ. Der ‚Boss‘ stürmte die Bühne im Paramount Theatre und spielte knapp 50 Minuten mit seinem alten Musikfreund Joe Grushecky. Ferner trat er mit Willie Nile und Jesse Malin auf.
