Little Steven van Zandt wird am 21. Januar 2014 im New Yorker Hammerstein Ballroom mit dem „Humanitarian Award“ der „We Are Family Foundation“ ausgezeichnet.

Darüber hinaus wird der E Street Band Gitarrist ein kleines Konzert spielen. Unter dem Motto „Musical Tribute to Nelson Mandela“ wird er gemeinsam mit Nile Rodgers und der afroamerikanischen Discoband CHIC etliche Songs zum Besten geben.
