UPDATE: Clarence Clemons bekommt eigenen Stern
Der in Norfolk (Virginia) geborene Clarence Clemons bekam gestern auf dem „Norfolk Walk of Fame“ seinen eigenen Stern. Er folgt Künstlern wie Ella Fitzgerald, Bruce Hornsby und Pearl Bailey. Die Aufnahme-Zeremonie fand am 18. April zusammen mit einem Konzert im „Roper Performing Arts Center“ statt.
„LEGENDS OF MUSIC WALK OF FAME“
The „Legends of Music Walk of Fame“ was established by City Council in 2002 to honor the rich musical heritage of Hampton Roads and Virginia. This year’s inductees include: The Phelps Brothers, Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen’s E Band; General Norman of the legendary Showmen and Chairman of the Board; Pat Curtis, Norfolk’s own „Piano Man“ and JoAnn Falletta, the Music Director of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. The inductees, including Bonnie and Ed Beard, family of the Phelps Brothers, will perform.
