Bruce Springsteen ist gestern gemeinsam mit Ehefrau Patti Scialfa und der „Bobby Bandiera Band“ im Stone Pony, Asbury Park, NJ aufgetreten.
Anlässlich einer Benefizshow für die „The Ranney Highschool“ spielte der „Boss“ vor der versammelten Eltern- und Lehrerschaft seine grössten Hits. Die Zuschauer mussten 1.500 $ Eintritt bezahlen und kamen während der zweistündigen Show in den Genuss, unter anderem „Spirit in the Night“, „Brilliant Disguise“, „Seven Nights to Rock“, „Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out“, „Twist & Shout“, „Dancing in the Dark“ und „Cover Me“ zu hören.
Ausserdem kam Southside Johnny als Special Guest auf die Bühne.

Der in Norfolk (Virginia) geborene Clarence Clemons bekam gestern auf dem „Norfolk Walk of Fame“ seinen eigenen Stern. Er folgt Künstlern wie Ella Fitzgerald, Bruce Hornsby und Pearl Bailey. Die Aufnahme-Zeremonie fand am 18. April zusammen mit einem Konzert im „Roper Performing Arts Center“ statt.

„LEGENDS OF MUSIC WALK OF FAME“

The „Legends of Music Walk of Fame“ was established by City Council in 2002 to honor the rich musical heritage of Hampton Roads and Virginia. This year’s inductees include: The Phelps Brothers, Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen’s E Band; General Norman of the legendary Showmen and Chairman of the Board; Pat Curtis, Norfolk’s own „Piano Man“ and JoAnn Falletta, the Music Director of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. The inductees, including Bonnie and Ed Beard, family of the Phelps Brothers, will perform.

Am 23. März 2007 läuft in den USA ein neuer Film namens „Reign over me“ an. (Deutscher Titel: „Die Liebe in mir“)

Die Story:
Charlie Fineman (ADAM SANDLER) hat seine Familie bei den Terroranschlägen vom 11. September verloren und leidet bis heute an den Folgen dieses Traumas. Als er eines Tages in New York zufällig seinem ehemaligen College-Zimmergenossen Alan (DON CHEADLE) über den Weg läuft, ist dieser fest entschlossen, ihre alte Freundschaft wieder aufleben zu lassen und Charlie dabei zu helfen, mit seinem großen Verlust fertig zu werden.
Neben Adam Sandler („Klick“) und Don Cheadle („L.A. Crash“) spielen Jada Pinkett Smith („Matrix“) und Liv Tyler („Herr der Ringe“) unter der Regie von Mike Binder („An Deiner Schulter“), der auch das Drehbuch schrieb, in diesem bewegenden Drama über Freundschaft, Liebe und Verlust.

Soundtrack:
Neben Graham Nash, The Pretenders, Marc Cohn, Jackson Browne, The Who und Pearl Jam steuerte auch Bruce Springsteen zwei Songs aus dem „River“ Album bei. Zu hören sind „Out in the Street“ und „Drive all Night“.

Der Film läuft am 23. August 2007 in Deutschland an.
