Bruce Springsteen News

Am 10. November 1986 wurde die 40 Songs umfassende „Bruce Springsteen Live 1975 – 1985“ Box in den Vereinigten Staaten veröffentlicht. Auf den 5 Vinyl Platten fand man diverse Live-Songs, die Bruce Springsteen gemeinsam mit der E Street Band in den letzten 10 Jahren vor Publikum zelebriert hatte.

Im Vorfeld orderten die Geschäfte knapp 1,5 Millionen Exemplare und sorgten dafür, dass die „Live Box“ eine Woche später auf Platz 1 der „Billboard Charts“ stand. Ausserdem landeten die beiden Singleauskopplungen „War“ und „Fire“ ebenfalls in der Hitparade.

„Live 1975 – 1985“ war das zweit meistverkaufte Live Album aller Zeiten. Nur Garth Brooks „Double Live“ aus dem Jahre 1998 wanderte öfter über die Ladentheke.

Die „Recording Industry Association of America“ (RIAA) bedachte das Live Album am Jahresende mit 13 Platinauszeichnungen.
