Vor mittlerweile 25 Jahren – am 3. und 4. April 1993 – trat Bruce Springsteen im Rahmen der „World Tour 1992/1993“ zwei Mal in der Dortmunder Westfalenhalle auf.
Die Worldtour 1993 startete am 31. März mit einer Show in der SCC Arena in Glasgow (Schottland) und führte Bruce Springsteen quer durch Europa. Bis zum 1. Juni 1993 performte der „Boss“ nicht nur in der Schweiz, Italien, Frankreich, England, Holland, Belgien, Portugal, Spanien, Irland, Schweden, Dänemark und Norwegen, sondern auch in Berlin, München und Mannheim.

Bruce Springsteen überraschte die knapp 15.000 Zuschauer am 3. April 1993 mit der Live Tour Weltpremiere des Jimmy Cliff Songs „Many Rivers to Cross“. Ausserdem begrüsste er den Bon Jovi Frontmann Jon Bon Jovi sowie den Bon Jovi Gitarristen Richie Sambora bei „Glory Days“ auf der Bühne.
Am 4. April 1993 feierten „Seeds“, „Adam Raised a Cain“ sowie „The Promised Land“ ihre Tourpremieren. Ausserdem bedankte sich Bruce Springsteen bei seinen deutschen Fans mit folgenden Worten:
„Thank you, I´d like to thank everybody for coming down to the shows we did here in Dortmund, thank you very much. And I´d like to thank all my German fans who´ve always treated me so well when I come over here and supported my music for such a long time, thank you very much. Ich liebe Euch“
