Am Vorabend vor Thanksgiving – 22. November 2017 – findet in der „Wonder Bar“ in Asbury Park, NJ ein grosses Benefizkonzert statt. Unter anderem werden JoBonnano and the Godsons, Joe D’Urso and Stone Caravan, Joe Rapolla and the Perfect Square, Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son, Jon Caspi and the First Gun, Dan Amato and the Sentimental Gentlemen, Stella Mrowicki sowie der bekannte DJ Lee Mrowicki auftreten, um Spendengelder für die gemeinnützige Organisation „WhyHunger: Hungerthon 2017“ zu sammeln.

Während des Abends werden die Künstler neben eigenen Songs auch viele Bruce Springsteen Kompositionen zum Besten geben.

Joe D’Urso sagte in einem Interview mit APP.com folgendes:

„We did a night of Bruce songs for WhyHunger about four years ago and I thought it was time to revisit it as it was a lot of fun and Bruce has been such a great supporter of Why over the years.“ / Quelle

Ausserdem sind die Zuschauer aufgerufen, nicht verderbliche Lebensmittel zur Show mitzubringen und sie der „Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties“ zu spenden.
