Bruce Springsteen News

Nach einer zweitägigen Pause fand am 18. August 2024 das zweite und letzte Konzert in der „PPG Paints Arena“ in Pittsburgh, PA statt. Bruce Springsteen und seine 17köpfige E Street Band präsentierte sich erneut in bester Spiellaune und performte 29 Songs. Als Stargäste kamen Johnny und Joe Grushecky bei „Twist and Shout“ auf die Bühne.

Darüber hinaus widmete Bruce Springsteen den Song „Backstreets“ dem amerikanischen Journalisten Charles R. Cross, der im Oktober 1980 das Bruce Springsteen Fanmagazin „Backstreets“ gründete. Charles R. Cross starb am 9. August 2024 nach kurzer Krankheit.

Here on E Street, we’re saddened over the passing of Charles Cross. As the founder of Backstreets, Charles created a wonderful magazine and positive community that gave our fans the chance to connect through their stories, ideas and shared experiences. We’re grateful to him for bringing conversations and insights around our music to so many. He was an exceptional journalist, publisher, thinker and facilitator, and he will be missed. – Bruce Springsteen
